About the Shaykha
After embracing Islam in her youth, she devoted more than 25 years to gaining knowledge, earning Bachelor’s degrees in Arabic, Fiqh, and Usul al-Fiqh, and completing a Master's in Fiqh. She also got an Ijazah in Tajweed, memorized the Qur'an, and became one of the first female scholars recognised by the Australian National Imams Council.
Beloved and renowned in her community in Sydney, Australia, for her relatable approach, she understands the challenges Muslim women face while carrying the unending responsibilities of home and family.
But what truly sets her apart is how her experiences shaped her path.
As a convert and mother of five, she knows the challenges faced by many women in seeking authentic knowledge and is therefore passionate about nurturing and reviving the faith of her sisters in Islam.
